Partnerships and Agreements

The Faculty of Human Sciences and Designs at King Abdulaziz University actively seeks to build strategic partnerships that support education, design, and creativity. One of its key collaborations is a memorandum of understanding signed on May 25, 2025, with Art of Heritage, focusing on enhancing cooperation in the fields of design and traditional crafts. This includes organizing workshops, conducting field visits, creating multimedia educational content, and supporting documentary research in heritage arts. The faculty also signed a cooperation agreement in 1440H with the Institute of Engineering Sciences for Training, which involves developing training and employment programs for graduates, enhancing workforce skills, and supporting engineering studies and related development projects that serve the public interest. In 2022, the faculty partnered with the Institute of Research and Consulting Services on several occasions, forming agreements with specialized design entities such as Maamour Design Foundation, Karkashan Design Office, and Laden Childhood Company to foster innovation and applied design practices. Additionally, the faculty—through its affiliation with the Faculty of Arts and Humanities—signed a memorandum of understanding with the Saudi National Heritage Society (Saudi ICOMOS) to promote academic and knowledge-based cooperation in archaeology and cultural heritage. This partnership includes joint research, exhibitions, training programs, and support in the preservation of cultural heritage. These partnerships contribute to integrating academic education with real-world practice, offering enriched educational and research opportunities in design and heritage, and strengthening the faculty’s local and global impact.
