The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering was established in 1395/1396 AH. It is an academic department dedicated to educating and training students in the fields of civil engineering and environmental engineering. The department aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for designing and managing construction projects and environmental protection initiatives. It combines fundamental engineering sciences with modern practices in construction, infrastructure, and environmental management, covering areas such as road design, bridges, buildings, water systems, and concrete structures, as well as water treatment, waste management, and environmental protection. The department offers academic programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, where students learn to apply engineering principles in various fields, including structural design, structural analysis, and environmental project management. It also focuses on scientific research in sustainability, improving environmental quality, and developing innovative construction technologies that support sustainable development. The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering aims to equip students with the ability to tackle contemporary challenges in construction and environmental engineering, contributing to improved quality of life, preservation of natural resources, and the achievement of sustainable development.
