Department of Orthodontics

The Department of Orthodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry, King Abdulaziz University, strives for excellence in education, scientific research, leadership, and entrepreneurship, and for delivering distinguished service to patients and the community in the field of orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, through a well-established academic pathway extending from undergraduate study to advanced specialty training. The department offers the orthodontic courses of the BDS program in the fifth and sixth years, introducing students to the foundational principles of diagnosing malocclusion and dentofacial problems and exploring various treatment modalities. It also offers a Master’s (MSc) program in Orthodontics and is accredited as a training center for the Saudi Board of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics program. The department integrates cutting-edge clinical services with community-oriented patient care and, through its high-caliber faculty members, is committed to leadership in scientific research and educational excellence within the region.
