The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Judicial Studies program prepares graduates for a wide range of judicial, academic, research, and consultancy careers. Graduates are qualified to serve in judicial positions within Shariah and administrative courts, as well as general and specialized courts, and to undertake roles within the Public Prosecution. They are also prepared for judicial support positions, including notarial services, court documentation, court administration, judicial research, and judicial enforcement, in accordance with the applicable laws and regulatory frameworks. The program also equips graduates for careers in arbitration, mediation, conciliation, and alternative dispute resolution in commercial, civil, and labor matters. In addition, graduates are qualified to practice in legal and Shariah-related professions, provide judicial, legal, and Shariah consultancy services, and serve in legal and Shariah departments within government entities, public institutions, and private-sector organizations. Furthermore, graduates are prepared for academic careers in higher education, including university teaching, graduate supervision, and research in judicial studies centers and specialized research institutes. They are also equipped to contribute to the advancement of judicial scholarship through conducting specialized research, developing judicial policies, legislation, laws, and regulatory frameworks, and serving in organizations concerned with the judicial, legal, regulatory, investigative, and legislative sectors, thereby supporting the continuous development and effectiveness of the justice system.
