About the Program

The Master of Hydrographic Surveying program is designed to provide students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required in the field of hydrographic surveying and its related disciplines. The program comprises a combination of core and elective courses, practical and field training, and a supervised research project conducted over one academic semester. All courses are delivered in English, and comprehensive final examinations are held at the end of each academic semester.

1To enrich students’ knowledge, skills and capabilities in data collection, data analysis, data interpretation and writing in hydrographic surveying discipline.
2To provide students with high level of training in hydrographic surveying specialty and its applications in maritime industry.
3To enrich students’ skills in scientific research field along with the promotion towards the implementation of their skills in hydrographic surveying field and its emblement to serve the maritime community to sustainability in maritime industry.
4To provide highly skilled post-graduates who can fulfill the needs of the labor market in the maritime surveying industries within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
5To provide students with integrated knowledge and skills in maritime studies disciplines such as nautical science, marine engineering and maritime transport.
