The Master of Science in Electronics and Communication Engineering is a Level 7, 36-credit graduate program offered by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at King Abdulaziz University. The program is delivered on campus through advanced coursework and an eight-credit research thesis. It develops specialist knowledge and research competence in electronics, signal processing, digital communications, integrated circuits, wireless and optical systems, antenna and microwave technologies, programmable hardware, and related emerging areas. The curriculum provides a structured foundation in advanced engineering mathematics, digital signal processing, digital communication, integrated circuits, research methodology, and scientific seminars. Four approved electives allow each student to build depth in areas such as communication theory, optical communications, FPGA design, microstrip antennas, solid-state devices, speech and image processing, information theory and coding, mobile and wireless communications, and advanced electronics. The thesis develops the ability to define a research problem, conduct independent investigation, evaluate evidence, communicate results, and contribute new or applied knowledge.
