About the Program

The Master's Program in the Qur'an and Sunnah Sciences is a specialized graduate program that prepares competent researchers in the sciences of tafsir, Qur'anic sciences, and hadith and its allied disciplines, integrating rigorous religious grounding with contemporary research methodology. Delivered at the main campus in Jeddah for both sections within a single track, the program comprises 40 credit hours across compulsory and elective courses and a thesis, at Level 7 of the National Qualifications Framework.

Graduates of the Master’s Program in the Qur’an and Sunnah are qualified to pursue careers in higher education, scientific research, Sharia consultation, religious guidance, intellectual awareness, and community service. The program prepares graduates to contribute to teaching, scholarly research, Islamic studies, religious counseling, mosque leadership, public awareness, and the dissemination of authentic Islamic knowledge based on the Qur’an and Sunnah. It also qualifies them to work in judicial support, Sharia advisory services, research and consulting centers, intellectual awareness initiatives, and institutions concerned with education, justice, religious affairs, and community development, in alignment with the objectives of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
