About the Program

The Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc) is a specialized program designed to meet the growing labor market needs for professionally qualified accounting cadres. The program focuses on aligning theoretical frameworks with professional practices and practical applications, with special attention to accounting and auditing standards, Zakat, and taxation. Given its professional nature, the program offers a flexible study schedule (weekend classes) suitable for practitioners, aiming to enhance graduates' readiness to obtain professional certifications (such as SOCPA) and effectively contribute to developing the business environment and achieving Saudi Vision 2030 goals by promoting financial transparency and reliability.

Program Goals

1Empowering students with knowledge, concepts, and accounting standards.
2Deepen professional study in accounting and auditing standards in line with international standards adopted in Saudi Arabia.
3Rooting the ethics of the accounting and auditing profession in line with the ethical code of conduct in the accounting profession.
4Encourage and support applied research in the field of accounting and its branches which contributes to the service of the community by offering solutions to accounting problems.
5Help preparing students for certified professional tests in the fields of accounting in Saudi Arabia.
6Provide the private and public sectors with qualified human resources in the field of accounting and its branches.

Exhibit proficiency in professional accounting and auditing standards and/or practices.
Demonstrate proficiency in the oral communication skills needed for the accounting profession.
Demonstrate effective written communication skills in an accounting context.
Critically apply professional accounting knowledge to evaluate a range of emerging and advanced accounting problems in professional contexts.
Articulate solutions to complex accounting issues based on supportable facts, standards, and laws.
Recognize common ethical issues in the accounting profession.
Recognize the key international accounting standards used in the preparation of financial statements.
Provide solutions to accounting issues using Islamic context as a primary point.
