About the Program

"This program, offered by the Health Information Technology Department at the College of Applied Sciences, King Abdulaziz University, is the first of its kind in the Kingdom. It aims to provide the Kingdom's healthcare sector with highly qualified medical sterilization technicians, trained in both theoretical and practical skills according to international standards in this field. Medical sterilization is a vital and central specialty in healthcare. The primary task of a sterilization technician is to disinfect, sterilize, package, and seal surgical and medical instruments, ensuring the safety of patients and healthcare practitioners by controlling and preventing the spread of infection within healthcare facilities."
