About the Program

The General Accounting Diploma program aims to equip students with the knowledge and accounting skills The program focuses on developing competence in financial, managerial, and cost accounting, while enhancing analytical thinking to support effective decision-making. It also enables students to prepare and analyze financial statements and use them in financial planning and control, in addition to strengthening their understanding of the role of accounting in the business environment and its relationship with management and finance.

Enhancing quality and accounting compliance: Providing students with the knowledge and skills to ensure adherence to approved accounting and financial standards.

2Developing competence in accounting disciplines: Preparing students to understand and apply the principles of financial accounting, managerial accounting, cost accounting, auditing, zakat, and taxation with efficiency and professionalism.

3Developing analytical and critical thinking: Enabling students to analyze financial data and evaluate accounting alternatives to support effective decision-making.

4Acquiring practical skills in accounting information systems: Training students to use modern accounting systems and technologies for financial reporting and data management.

5Preparing financial reports and decision-making: Equipping students to prepare periodic financial statements and analyze them for use in financial planning and control.

6Enhancing understanding of the role of accounting in the business environment: Providing students with knowledge of the importance of accounting in organizations and its relationship with other functions such as management and finance.

7Gaining auditing and review skills: Introducing students to the fundamental concepts focusing on the technical aspects of the auditing process, including preliminary procedures, and how to effectively prepare and plan audit programs.

Preparing financial and accounting reports: The ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports in accordance with approved accounting standards to provide accurate information to management and stakeholders.
Efficient execution of the accounting cycle: Recording financial transactions according to the of the accounting cycle, from documentation to the preparation of financial statements, and understanding the interrelationships between these steps across different organizations.
Applying managerial and cost accounting techniques: Using cost accounting tools and financial planning techniques to monitor performance and achieve operational efficiency within organizations.
Compliance with tax and zakat regulations: Understanding and applying accounting requirements related to zakat and value-added tax (VAT) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in accordance with local laws and regulations.
Analyzing ethical and professional issues in auditing and accounting: The ability to handle accounting issues in line with auditing standards and professional ethics to ensure integrity and transparency in financial reporting.
