About the Program

Electronics and Communications Engineering is a dynamic field that integrates the principles of electrical engineering with the technologies of communication systems. It encompasses the design, development, and application of electronic circuits, devices, and systems for transmitting, receiving, and processing information. The number of graduates in the department of the Electrical and Computer Engineering in the past 5 years is as follows: 2024-25: 133, 2023-24: 120, 2022-23: 94, 2021-22: 96, 2020-21: 102. As of 2026, the current number of enrolled students in the Electrical Engineering (Electronics and Communications) Program is 147 students. The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (Electronics and Communications) program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET, https://www.abet.org, under the commission’s General Criteria and Program Criteria for Electrical, Computer, Communications, Telecommunication(s), and Similarly Named Engineering Programs.

The Electronics and Communication Engineering program aims to provide a dynamic educational experience, fostering analytical and problem-solving skills through hands-on learning, practical applications, and innovation. It aims to produce graduates adept in designing and implementing cutting-edge electronic systems, contributing to technological advancements and societal needs.

Program Goals

1PEO1. Provide an outstanding educational experience to target academic excellence and promote creativity and innovation to prepare students to become leaders in electronics and communication engineering industry and society.
2PEO2. Conduct high-impact research and applications focusing on innovation and breakthrough discoveries in signal processing, electronics, and communication systems, to aid industry development and help society.
3PEO3. Establish solid and direct partnerships with industries that focus on electronics and communications engineering, government, and community organizations to address real-world challenges.
4PEO4. Boost institutional sustainability by cultivating a diverse and inclusive community of scholars, and maintaining a culture of excellence, integrity, and responsibility.
5PEO5. Emphasize the importance of ethical values, leadership, teamwork, and communication skills by training and preparing students for successful careers in research, industry, academia, and society.
