20260412890The Bachelor’s Program in Chinese Language offers a structured and progressive curriculum designed to build solid linguistic competence in Chinese, beginning with intensive foundation courses and advancing toward specialized and applied studies in translation, professional communication, teaching, media, and tourism. The program starts with two intensive Chinese language courses that serve as a mandatory foundation for progression within the study plan. As students advance, the curriculum develops their skills in reading, writing, oral expression, grammar, and vocabulary, supported by courses in Chinese civilization, modern Chinese literature, linguistics, and theories of language learning and teaching. In its advanced stages, the program emphasizes practical and career-oriented training through courses in written and oral translation, Business Chinese, Chinese for media and tourism, and Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. The program culminates in a practicum that integrates academic knowledge with real-world professional practice, preparing graduates for careers in Chinese language teaching, translation and interpreting, tourism, media, public relations, business, administrative roles, and other intercultural and global professional contexts, as well as for further academic study.
