About the Program

Clinical psychology program is the applied field of psychological concepts, foundations and theories of mental disorders; it is based on integrating and employing theoretical knowledge with practical skills and placing them in a sophisticated experimental format, based on psychological and neurological assessment, diagnosis, and high qualification in multiple psychotherapy techniques.

Learning Outcomes

Demonstrate foundational knowledge of the psychological theories and the cognitive and counselling aspects related to mental health behaviour.
Identify and classify the various methods of traditional and modern psychotherapeutic techniques and the principles of rehabilitation psychology.
Understand the scientific foundations in psychopathology and the psychopharmacological.
Realize how to select appropriate statistical analyses for a clinical research question.
Define psychological diagnosis based on the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM).
Critically evaluate the psychological theories, concepts, research methods and results.
Develop psychological diagnostic assessment skills.
Apply principles of evidence-based clinical psychology to determine clinical diagnoses.
Determine the appropriate psychological interventions using problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Develop efficient writing and oral communication skills in academic and professional setting.
Build effective interpersonal and professional capable communication as an individual and groups and in multi-disciplinary settings.
Demonstrate integrity in clinical data to evaluate diagnostic interventions and treatment plans.
Present a clear perspective on ethics issues related to cultural sensitivity and individual diverse backgrounds.
