20260412890In 1396 AH (1976), the Radio and Television Track was established as a specialization within the Department of Media at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. The Media Program at King Abdulaziz University is recognized as one of the earliest media programs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In 1433 AH (2012), a decision issued by the University President approved the transformation of the Media Program into the Faculty of Communication and Media, which included four academic programs, among them the Directing and Design Program. In 1440 AH (2018), the University Council approved changing the name of the Directing and Design Program to the Audiovisual Production Program. In 1441 AH (2020), the University Council approved the new curriculum for the Audiovisual Production Program.
