20260412890The Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering prepares students to apply mathematics, basic sciences, and engineering principles to the analysis, design, operation, and safe use of nuclear and radiological systems. The curriculum builds from programming, mathematics, physics, chemistry, statistics, engineering graphics, electrical engineering, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science toward specialized nuclear engineering subjects such as reactor analysis, nuclear heat transport, reactor dynamics and kinetics, radiation measurement, radiation protection, shielding design, computational methods, nuclear materials, and radioisotope applications. Through laboratory work, summer training, and a senior design project, students develop the technical judgment, safety awareness, communication ability, and professional responsibility needed for nuclear power, radiation applications, regulation, research, and graduate study.
