About the Center

One of the most significant challenges facing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the scarcity of natural water resources. Therefore, under the leadership of the Kingdom’s wise government and through Saudi Vision 2030, every effort is being made to address this challenge by making the most efficient use of every drop of water. This is achieved through sustainable development plans aimed at managing and utilizing water resources for various purposes, including agriculture, industry, and domestic use. As part of the mission of the Water Research Center at King Abdulaziz University is to provide scientific initiatives to address water-related challenges at the local, national, regional, and international levels through research, consultancy, training, and knowledge dissemination, the Center conducts numerous studies on natural water resources to comprehensively assess water resources across all regions of the Kingdom.
