20260412890The Sheikh Abdullah Bakhsh Center of Excellence for Pediatric Kidney Care, established in 1438 AH (2016–2017 CE), is a comprehensive healthcare center dedicated to providing specialized treatment and care for children with kidney diseases under the supervision of highly qualified consultants and specialists. The Center also promotes collaboration between the University and the community. The Center houses the largest pediatric hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis unit in the Western Region of Saudi Arabia, providing specialized care to children of all nationalities, including Saudi citizens and residents. It specializes in managing rare kidney disorders, such as steroid-resistant nephrotic syndrome and renal tubular disorders. The Center strives to advance excellence in pediatric nephrology through specialized research and publications in national and international scientific journals. It also offers fellowship training programs in pediatric nephrology and is the only center in the Western and Southern Regions of Saudi Arabia providing specialized training for physicians in this field. Through its clinical, research, and educational initiatives, the Center is committed to delivering high-quality healthcare for children with kidney diseases and contributing to the advancement of pediatric healthcare services across the Kingdom.
Through strategic partnerships and agreements, the Sheikh Abdullah Bakhsh Center of Excellence for Pediatric Kidney Care seeks to collaborate with hospitals, universities, and national and international healthcare organizations to advance research in pediatric kidney disease treatment.
