Overview
The Personalized Medicine Innovation Center at King Abdulaziz University is a specialized center aimed at developing and applying the concept of personalized medicine in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The center focuses on utilizing the genetic and epigenetic makeup of patients to improve disease diagnosis and provide tailored treatments that suit the individual needs of each patient. The center conducts advanced and specialized research in the field of personalized medicine, in addition to developing comprehensive tests for decoding the entire genetic makeup. It also contributes to the development of medical treatments, reducing misdiagnosis and side effects, which enhances treatment efficiency and reduces healthcare costs. Through collaboration with commercial and academic partners, the center aims to strengthen the research base in the Kingdom and develop university education, thus enhancing the role of personalized medicine in improving the healthcare system in the Kingdom and contributing to the training of future medical and research professionals.
