King Abdulaziz University aims to empower students with disabilities by providing a comprehensive range of academic, social, and technical services, ensuring a supportive and complete learning experience. It emphasizes the importance of disclosing all relevant health information and matters that may affect residency requirements, through the following steps:

  • Contacting the Center for Persons with Disabilities to obtain necessary information and guidance.
  • Submitting medical documents that prove the type of disability or learning difficulties via the center’s dedicated email.

The services include:

  • Providing Electronic Curricula: Converting curricula from PDF to Word format to facilitate access for visually impaired students.
  • Remedial Lessons: Providing additional academic support to students with disabilities to enhance their skills and understanding of the study materials.
  • Technical Support: The university provides assistive devices for students with special needs, such as Braille devices, white canes, hearing devices, and wheelchairs.
  • Disability Allowance (Classification): The allowance for a student with a first-degree disability or blindness is 5240 SAR, while the allowance for a second-degree disability or blindness is 1500 SAR.
  • Test Supervision and Monitoring: Organizing and monitoring exams for students with disabilities during midterm and final exams.
  • Participation in Activities and Events: Enabling students to participate in all university programs and sports competitions, both on and off campus.
  • Individual Case Assessment: Providing a comprehensive evaluation of each student with a disability from all categories.
  • Various Training Programs: Offering training programs in different fields to develop academic and personal skills.
