Admission Requirements for Non-Saudi Applicants Residing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Admission Requirements

  • 1. Academic Qualification and Attestation: The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, and all documents must be attested by the Saudi Embassy (Cultural Mission) in the applicant’s country or in the country where the degree was obtained. The university will contact the Cultural Mission to verify the authenticity of the qualification.
  • 2. Minimum GPA Requirement: The applicant’s GPA must not be lower than “Very Good”.
  • 3. Age Requirement: Applicants for Master’s programs must not be older than 30 years, and applicants for Doctoral programs must not be older than 35 years.
  • 4. Academic Recommendations: Two academic recommendation letters must be provided from faculty members who have previously taught the applicant.
  • 5. Aptitude Test Requirement: The applicant must achieve a minimum score of (65) in the General Aptitude Test for University Graduates.
  • 6. English Language Requirement: The applicant must meet the English language proficiency requirement. This condition does not apply to applicants in the Arabic Language or Sharia and Islamic Studies departments.
  • 7. Legal Residency in the Kingdom: The applicant must have a valid legal residence permit in Saudi Arabia. - For those under a work permit: an official letter of consent from the employer stamped by the Chamber of Commerce is required (for Master’s applicants). - For Ph.D. applicants: a full-time study release letter from the employer is required.
  • 8. Health Programs Exclusion: Admission is not available in health-related fields (Medicine, Dentistry, Applied Medical Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, and similar disciplines).
  • 9. GCC Applicants: Applicants from GCC countries are treated the same as Saudi applicants in terms of admission requirements; however, they are not permitted to apply for health-related programs (Medicine, Dentistry, Applied Medical Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, etc.).
  • 10. Test Registration Number for GCC Applicants: For applicants from GCC countries, the application number must match the registration number used with the National Center for Assessment (Qiyas).

General Notes

1. Applications must be submitted during the admission period specified for internal applicants (Saudis and non-Saudis residing within the Kingdom).
2. Applications are submitted electronically through the Deanship of Graduate Studies website (please visit the university’s official website for the application link and detailed guidelines).
