King Abdulaziz University, represented by the King Fahd Medical Research Center,
signed a memorandum of understanding with Arab Therapy, a company specializing
in medical care, on Monday, May 11, 2026, to strengthen research and development
cooperation and support joint initiatives in mental health, medical care, and
professional rehabilitation.
Dr. Mohammed bin Hassan AlHashmi, Director of the King Fahd Medical Research
Center, signed the memorandum on behalf of the university, while Dr. Tareq Dalbah,
Chief Executive Officer of Arab Therapy, represented the company.
Aiming to enhance cooperation in scientific research, training, and health awareness,
the memorandum provides for the preparation of joint studies and research papers,
as well as capacity-building for trainees and university staff through specialized
professional supervision programs in remote psychological services.
Areas of cooperation also include enabling students and university employees to
access confidential professional psychological support services, implementing
specialized workshops and awareness programs in mental health, providing training
scholarships for graduates in psychology and clinical mental health, and collaborating
on the production of joint awareness content to promote mental health awareness
within the university environment.
