20260412890The General Administration of Social Responsibility and Community Service at King Abdulaziz University organized an introductory session on several digital platforms, including the National Social Responsibility Platform, the Udeem Platform, and the Research Volunteering Platform. The session was held on Monday, September 7, 2026, at the King Fahd Medical Research Center.
The session was led by Dr. Hamza bin Hasnain Ahmed, Director General of the General Administration of Social Responsibility and Community Service, who outlined the overall vision, objectives, programs, pathways, and functions of each platform, in addition to development opportunities and project eligibility criteria.
Dr. Hamza explained that the National Social Responsibility Platform aims to enable private-sector, government, and nonprofit organizations to strengthen their social impact by adopting social responsibility practices aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals and Saudi Vision 2030.
He also highlighted the Research Volunteering Platform, which is designed to empower researchers, build capacity, and enhance scientific impact. The platform supports the research ecosystem by engaging volunteers in research-related activities on an unpaid basis, helping improve the quality of scientific output, accelerate research projects, and provide students and University staff with practical research experience within a structured ethical and methodological framework.
Dr. Hamza also introduced the Yudeem Platform, one of the key programs of the National Center for Waste Management. The platform supports responsible initiatives that promote sound practices and the transition toward a circular economy. It aims to foster a sustainable waste management ecosystem by encouraging compliance, raising awareness, empowering relevant sectors, and supporting innovative initiatives based on circular economy principles and sustainable practices. It also promotes environmental responsibility through initiatives designed to create lasting impact.
