Research and Pharmaceutical Industries, concluded its participation in the third edition of
the Hajj Health and Security Forum, organized by the General Administration of Medical
Services at the Ministry of Interior from May 17 to 19, 2026, with the participation of a
distinguished group of leaders, experts, and specialists in health, security, and crowd
management.
During the forum, visitors to King Abdulaziz University’s booth learned about the university’s
specialized educational and research initiatives, as well as innovative health and
technological solutions that support the Hajj ecosystem and enhance the quality of services
provided to the Guests of Al-Rahman (pilgrims). KAU also showcased several projects that
use modern technologies and artificial intelligence to advance healthcare, improve readiness
during the Hajj season, and serve Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.
Among the projects presented was “Resist Alert AI,” an intelligent system that uses artificial
intelligence to enable early prediction of antibiotic-resistant bacteria in hospitals. The
system monitors infection locations and patterns in real time, enabling rapid intervention
and appropriate preventive measures to reduce infection and enhance the safety of patients
and medical staff.
The university highlighted the efforts of the King Fahd Medical Research Center in advancing
healthcare for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims through an integrated system that includes crowd
health research, emergency preparedness, infectious disease surveillance, molecular
diagnostics, and the development of smart solutions and advanced innovations. These
efforts contribute to improving the efficiency of healthcare and awareness services and
building capacity to address Hajj and Umrah challenges.
At the conclusion of its participation, King Abdulaziz University reaffirmed its continued
scientific and research role in supporting the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and
strengthening integration among the academic, health, and technology sectors, contributing
to the development of innovative and safe healthcare services for the Guests of Al-Rahman
(pilgrims).
