King Abdulaziz University and Tamra Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Advance Financial Literacy and Innovation

King Abdulaziz University (KAU), represented by the Center for Innovation and
Entrepreneurship, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tamra to
strengthen collaboration in financial literacy and innovation. The agreement was signed on
Sunday, July 12, 2026.

Attending the signing ceremony was KAU Vice President for Research and Innovation, Prof.
Amin bin Youssef Noaman. The University was represented by Dr. Saud bin Mohammed
Wasli, Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, while Tamra was
represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Hattan Ibrahim Rayes.

The MoU aims to enhance financial and investment literacy among the University
community and the wider public, support innovation in the financial and investment sectors,
and equip students and interested participants with a deeper understanding of investment
and wealth management. It also seeks to encourage the development of innovative ideas in
the financial sector while strengthening collaboration between the academic and financial
sectors.

As part of the partnership, both parties will collaborate on a financial literacy program for
the University community and the wider public through workshops, lectures, awareness
sessions, meetings, and educational content covering financial literacy, investment, financial
risk management, and informed financial decision-making.

In addition, the partnership also includes a financial hackathon aimed at attracting promising
ideas and supporting their development into innovative solutions for the financial and
investment sectors.
