King Abdulaziz University (KAU), represented by the King Fahd Medical Research Center, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Society of Cytotechnology and Histotechnology to deliver volunteer-based health programs, provide specialized and field-based training, strengthen scientific partnerships, and raise community health awareness.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Prof. Amin Yousef Noaman, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research. Representing King Abdulaziz University was Dr. Mohammed bin Hassan Ali Al-Hashimi, Director of the King Fahd Medical Research Center, while the Saudi Society of Cytotechnology and Histotechnology was represented by Mr. Abdulbasit Abdulsamad Andijani, Chairman of the Board.
The agreement aims to develop and implement plans and programs in volunteer health fields, strengthen capacity building and field training in areas of mutual interest, establish partnerships with specialized scientific entities, organize and support joint events with partner organizations, and enhance community health awareness.
Key areas of cooperation include volunteer and training activities, as well as providing training and volunteering opportunities for trainees and graduates from KAU and other universities in ways that benefit both parties and the wider community. The two sides will also develop joint programs in collaboration with supporting organizations and relevant institutions, drawing on the expertise and capabilities of both parties to implement specialized initiatives that serve the community.
Further areas of collaboration include applied research, conferences, seminars and events in fields of mutual interest, the exchange of expertise, and the provision of consultancy services that support mutual benefit. The MoU also provides for the development of projects designed to create sustainable community impact.
