Jeddah Governor Recognizes King Abdulaziz University Students for Their Success in the Seetahthon Competition

His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi, Governor of Jeddah, recognized King
Abdulaziz University (KAU) students who achieved outstanding results in the preliminary
round of the third edition of the Seetahthon Competition, the National Program for
Promoting Community Initiatives.

Attending the ceremony were KAU President Dr. Tareef bin Youssef Alaama; Dr. Fahad bin
Hamad Maghlouth, Secretary-General of the Princess Seetah bint Abdulaziz Award for
Excellence in Social Work; and Manal bint Mubarak Al-Luhaibi, Director General of the
General Administration of Education in Jeddah Governorate. The recognition reflects
ongoing efforts to celebrate outstanding achievement and encourage community
engagement and social innovation among university students.

A team of KAU students earned top placements in the competition’s preliminary round.
Seetahthon is one of the initiatives of the Princess Seetah bint Abdulaziz Award for
Excellence in Social Work and aims to foster a culture of community engagement while
encouraging innovation in the design of initiatives with sustainable social impact.

Through this national program, young people are empowered to develop innovative
solutions to community challenges, strengthen the spirit of initiative and volunteerism, and
create projects with sustainable developmental impact. These efforts help promote the
values of social responsibility among university students across the Kingdom.
