Initiative to Promote the Positive Image of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Among International Students

About the Initiative

The initiative aims to promote a positive image of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia among international students by highlighting the Kingdom's values, culture, achievements, and efforts in promoting moderation, tolerance, peace, and combating extremism.

It encourages international students to transform their knowledge, talents, and creative ideas into research and innovative projects that reflect the Kingdom's positive contributions at both regional and international levels.

Initiative Objectives

1. Empower international students to promote the values of moderation and tolerance within their communities.

2. Encourage critical and creative thinking through projects that highlight the Kingdom's positive image and Saudi Vision 2030.

3. Develop students' leadership, cultural, and creative skills while strengthening intercultural communication.

Competition Tracks

The initiative offers four participation tracks:

1. Scientific Research

Submission of an academic research paper highlighting Saudi Arabia's efforts in promoting moderation, peace, security, and combating extremism.

Target Group: Graduate students.

2. Short Film

Production of a creative short film highlighting the values of tolerance, peace, and moderation.

Maximum Duration: 2 minutes.

3. Graphic Design

Creation of innovative visual designs reflecting the values of moderation, tolerance, and national identity.

4. Motion Graphics

Production of animated digital content highlighting Saudi Arabia's efforts in promoting moderation and combating extremism.

Maximum Duration: 2 minutes.

Competition Themes

Participants may select one of the following themes:

1. Saudi Arabia's Contributions to International Peace and Security.

2. Intellectual Extremism: Prevention and Countermeasures.

3. Values of Moderation and Tolerance.

4. National Belonging and Identity.

5. Online Recruitment and Strategies for Combating It.

Important Dates

• Submission Opens: October 6, 2026

• Submission Deadline: November 6, 2026

• Closing Ceremony and Awards Announcement: November 16, 2026

Awards

Winners in each competition track will receive the following cash prizes:

• First Place: SAR 5,000

• Second Place: SAR 3,000

• Third Place: SAR 2,000

Eligibility and Participation

The competition is open to international students enrolled at King Abdulaziz University, subject to the eligibility requirements and submission guidelines specified for each track.

Participants are invited to submit their work through the designated online registration forms.
