Biography
Dr. Turki Metaab Alraddadi is an Associate Professor of Physical Oceanography and Dean of the Faculty of Marine Sciences at King Abdulaziz University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom, in 2013, following a master’s degree from the University of Wales, Bangor, and a bachelor’s degree from King Abdulaziz University. He has held several academic and administrative leadership positions at the university and has contributed to the advancement of education and scientific research in the field of marine sciences. His research has focused on sea surface temperature variability, mixed layer dynamics, and climate-related oceanic processes. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed international journals and holds a U.S. patent related to systems for measuring mixed layer depth. He has also participated in a number of field research cruises in the Arabian Gulf and the Red Sea, and is a member of scientific organizations such as the American Geophysical Union (AGU) and the European Geosciences Union (EGU).
