Biography
Dr. Fawaz Madah is an associate Professor of Marine Physics at King Abdulaziz University. He received his B.Sc. in Marine Physics from the faculty of Marine Sciences, King Abdulaziz University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, 2001, followed by M.Sc. in Applied Marine Science from University of Plymouth, United Kingdom in 2007. In 2017, he obtained his Ph.D. in Coastal Geoscience and Engineering from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Kiel University, Germany. His research focuses on physical oceanography, particularly the dynamics and general circulation of semi-enclosed seas, coastal ocean processes, and numerical modeling of marine physical systems. His work contributes to advancing scientific understanding of coastal and regional ocean dynamics and supports academic and research development aligned with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. Dr. Madah has published several peer-reviewed articles in reputable international scientific journals. He serves currently as Head of the Marine Physics Department, King Abdulaziz University.
