Dr. Ammar Manna is an Associate Professor of Marine Geology and the Head of the Marine Geology Department at King Abdulaziz University. He currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Center for Curricula (Plans and Programs) at King Abdulaziz University and is a member of several academic committees at the university level. He obtained his PhD from the University of Wollongong, Australia, and holds a postgraduate certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Australia. His research interests focus on marine geology and the marine environment, particularly coral reefs, carbonate sediments, sea-level changes, and coastal environments, with a special focus on the Red Sea. His research contributes to advancing the scientific understanding of coastal environmental changes and supports marine sustainability in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030. Dr. Manna has numerous publications in peer-reviewed international journals and serves as a reviewer for specialized scientific journals. He is actively engaged in academic program development, aligning curricula with research and innovation priorities, and enhancing quality assurance and accreditation practices. In addition, he contributes to academic leadership and professional development through training programs and workshops in research and higher education, with a focus on supporting graduate students and researchers.
