He has held several senior leadership positions across the public and private sectors. Notably, he served as Governor of the Public Pension Agency (2016–2021) and later as Governor of the General Organization for Social Insurance (2021–2023), where he played a leading role in merging the two entities and establishing strategic investment companies that contributed to national economic development.
With over 30 years of banking experience, he served as General Manager of Branch Banking at Alinma Bank (2008–2016), where he led the creation and expansion of the largest Islamic branch network in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. Prior to that, he held various leadership roles at Samba Financial Group (1984–2008), ultimately serving as Regional General Manager for the Central Region.
In the academic field, he contributed to founding the Banking Sciences Diploma Program at the Institute of Public Administration and taught within the program from 1992 to 1995. He has also played a key role in developing governance frameworks, compliance systems, and human capital strategies within the financial sector.
He currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees at King Abdulaziz University, and holds board memberships in various sectors, including food services, real estate, and investment.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from King Saud University, an Executive Management Certificate from the University of Michigan, and a Diploma in English from San Diego.
