Biography


Dr. Marwan Mostafa Kheimi is the General Supervisor of the Business and Knowledge Innovation Sector in Rabigh and Chair of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at King Abdulaziz University. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Central Florida, a Master’s degree from California State University, Long Beach, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from the University of Texas at Austin. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Risk Management Professional (RMP), and a licensed Professional Engineer (PE).

With more than a decade of academic and professional experience, Dr. Kheimi has led numerous projects in construction project management, technology implementation, crowd management, and transportation systems. His research interests lie in water resources management and stormwater quality modeling, particularly in addressing the challenges of urban expansion, climate change, natural disasters, and infrastructure resilience.

Dr. Kheimi applies advanced tools for spatial and temporal data analysis to develop innovative solutions that promote sustainable and resilient infrastructure systems. He is deeply committed to knowledge sharing with students, colleagues, and stakeholders, and actively contributes to advancing the field of civil and environmental engineering locally, regionally, and globally.
