The Faculty of Human Sciences and Design at King Abdulaziz University believes that its social responsibility is an integral part of its educational and research mission, and strives to enhance its role in serving the community in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. The Faculty focuses on implementing initiatives and programs that contribute to promoting design and artistic culture, enhancing awareness of creativity and innovation, as well as providing practical educational and outreach services in the fields of human sciences, interior design, industrial design, fashion design, and applied arts. The Faculty’s efforts include organizing programs and workshops targeting various age groups and community members, such as students, designers, and local community members, in addition to offering seminars and courses on design skills, artistic creativity, and sustainable design. The Faculty also supports volunteer initiatives and community projects, providing students with opportunities for practical participation and experiences that enhance their academic, professional, and social skills. The Faculty works on building partnerships with educational, artistic, and governmental institutions to maximize the impact of its programs and initiatives, whether through applied projects or joint research studies and training workshops. Through these efforts, the Faculty of Human Sciences and Design reaffirms its commitment to social responsibility as a fundamental pillar for achieving sustainable development and actively contributing to promoting design and creative culture in the local community.
