Exemption Policy

Students may be exempted from studying English at the English Language Institute upon successfully achieving the required score in IELTS or TOEFL iBT, subject to specific conditions for each course. In all cases, the following must be observed:

Important Notes
  • The submitted test certificate must be original and valid (not exceeding two years from the date of issuance).
  • Students may apply for exemption from English courses at any time during the academic year, provided the request is submitted at least two weeks prior to the final examinations of the registered level.
  • Any grades obtained in English courses prior to submitting the exemption request will remain recorded in the student’s academic record and will not be removed.
  • Equivalent English courses will be recorded with the symbol (TR).

Application Procedure
  • Submit the request through the Electronic Request System (ERS) by selecting a course equivalency request and attaching a copy of the certificate along with a copy of the university ID card (the original certificate may be required for verification).
  • Documents will be reviewed to ensure all equivalency conditions are met.
  • Receive the final decision regarding approval or rejection of the request.
  • Check the academic record in the ODUS Plus system to confirm the transfer of English courses, indicated by the symbol (TR).
