King Abdulaziz University Participates in International Conference on Islamic Cultural Heritage in Uzbekistan

King Abdulaziz University (KAU) participated in the international conference “Islamic Cultural Heritage in Uzbekistan and Its Role in World Scholarship,” held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from September 7 to 9, 2026, and hosted by Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.

 

Representing the University, Dr. Mamdouh Shouman, Director General of Global Engagement & External Affairs, addressed the conference’s opening session alongside senior academic and government representatives.

 

Bringing together scholars and academic leaders from various institutions, the conference explored Uzbekistan’s rich Islamic cultural and intellectual heritage, the contributions of Central Asian scholars to global knowledge, and the role of intercultural dialogue in advancing scholarly exchange.

 

KAU’s participation underscores its commitment to strengthening its international academic presence, fostering cross-cultural dialogue, and expanding collaboration with universities and scholarly institutions worldwide.
