Students at King Abdulaziz University have strong union and representation at all university levels to ensure their voice is heard and the services are tailored to their needs. There are several Student Advisory Committees at KAU to support decision-making at the level of undergraduate and postgraduate students, in addition to international students and people with disabilities in several fields and at all levels, whether at the level of activities, Faculty councils, or student advisory committee.

Additionally, KAU has specialized General Activity Committees such as the General Committee for Cultural and Artistic Activity, General Committee for Social Activity, General Committee for Sports Activity are responsible for proposing students’ activities plans and programs and supervising the activities that are related to their responsibilities with students’ representatives.

hese committees have secretaries who are student representatives from all Faculties to ensure student’s participation in all students’ activities planning and execution.Activity Committees Secretaries are students who are selected based on specific criteria including leadership and creative skills to supervise and coordinate activities, committees, clubs, and events. Those committees’ secretaries receive certificates of experience, working hours are included in the extracurricular activities document and those students become members of the Elite Student Council. The University allocates appropriate annual operating expenditure for students that includes suitable amounts for students’ activities to ensure that students can participate in different extracurricular activities and improve their experience during their study period within the university.

Criteria for selecting the activity committee secretary and team leader includes:

  • Contribute to the implementation of the plans of student committees, clubs and centers.
  • Personal skills including presentation, influence, responsibility, problem solving, communication, dialogue, and art of persuasion and negotiation.
  • Leadership, proactivity, and cooperation
  • Passion for development and change
  • Designing skills
  • Stress management skills

Students’ Clubs Administration: They contribute to the advancement of students scientifically, culturally and socially in addition to enhancing their important role in serving the community and prepare them for labor market in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

Scope of Service:

  • Providing courses and workshops in specialized fields
  • Providing research consultancy
  • Students’ awareness through campaigns and initiatives

KAU’s Deanship for Students Affair Has a division that focuses on ethical values within the campus through several students’ clubs that include:

  • “Nazaha” Integrity Club
  • “Yarana” Charter Club

Launch of student activities at King Abdulaziz University for the academic year 1447H under the theme “Destination of Dreamers”, held at King Faisal Conference Center.

The event features interactive programs, dialogue sessions, and activities aimed at enhancing students’ skills and engagement.

These students’ clubs are initiated and lead by students under the supervision of Students’ Clubs Administration. Any student can join these clubs and participate in their activities. Students withing each club nominate and vote to select their leader.

In addition, KAU holds a competition named “KAU’s STAR” annually, in which each Faculty within KAU nominates the “Faculty’s STAR of the year” and they all compete throughout the year to win “KAU’s STAR” title.

KAU provides its students with the opportunity to benefit from its sports facilities, which are the sports stadium, the reserved court, the tennis courts, as well as the sports village and its closed halls and swimming pools, in addition to the equestrian club. Students form teams and participate in various sports tournaments such as football, basketball, hand, plane, five-a-side football, ground tennis competitions, table tennis, billiards, swimming for both national and international students.
