Department of Hospitality Management

The Department of Hospitality Management at King Abdulaziz University is a pioneer in providing high-quality education that meets the changing demands of the hospitality and tourism industry. The department was established within the College of Tourism, which was established to meet the needs of the strategic plan for tourism development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, pursuant to Resolution No. 14/45/1428 issued by the Higher Education Council at its 45th meeting on 18/01/1428 AH. The Department of Hospitality Management is the first department within the college to be established after its founding, with the aim of preparing distinguished cadres who will contribute to the development of the hospitality and tourism sectors at the local and international levels. The Bachelor of Hospitality Management program was designed in collaboration with École Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL), one of the world's top-ranked universities according to the QS World University Rankings. The program aims to provide students with an integrated educational experience that includes practical training and theoretical knowledge, preparing them to meet the challenges of the labor market effectively and efficiently. In addition to the Bachelor's program, the department offers a range of distinguished academic programs that meet diverse needs in the hospitality industry. This includes the Intermediate Qualitative Diploma Program in Hospitality Management (in-person and evening) and the Associate Professional Diploma Program in Hajj and Umrah Services (remote), both offered in collaboration with the Applied Science College. The department also includes the Executive Master's in Hajj and Umrah Services Management, which aims to develop the leadership and management skills of those working in this vital sector. The Hospitality Management Department benefits from advanced educational facilities equipped with the latest technology, creating an interactive learning environment focused on innovation and quality. Faculty members utilize the latest technological means to enhance the learning process and ensure its alignment with local and international academic standards.
