The Faculty of Communication and Media at King Abdulaziz University adopts an approach based on strategic partnerships with leading organizations in the media and cultural sectors, aiming to enhance the quality of applied education, align academic programs with market needs, expand training and professional qualification opportunities for students, and strengthen international research collaboration

:The Facutly has signed a number of agreements with specialized national institutions, most notably

  • SPA Academy for News Training: :Cooperation in media training, professional qualification, and joint programs
  • MBC Academy:Cooperation in practical training, development of media skills, and participation in specialized initiatives and events
  • MATARAT Holding Company: Cooperation in media monitoring projects during the Hajj and Umrah seasons, providing students with practical experience in real media environments
  • Jarir Company: Cooperation in translation, student training, and supporting the preparation of educational laboratories
  • Dar Al Fikr Al Jadeed: Supporting educational content through the provision of teaching materials
  • Media Rating Company (MRC)Cooperation in audience studies, media analytics, and applied research projects
  • Film Commission Cooperation in developing filmmaking programs and supporting student cinematic initiatives
  • Jeddah Society for Culture and Arts:Cooperation in student training and joint cultural and artistic programs.

The faculty is also connected to a wide network of more than 115 entities in the public and private sectors that receive faculty students in cooperative training programs, providing them with real field experience and enhancing their professional readiness.

At the research and international levels, the faculty maintains scientific cooperation with Shanghai University in China and the Gulf Center for Strategic Studies and Research, in addition to partnerships with a number of British and Irish universities in doctoral studies through the joint supervision program. This contributes to strengthening scientific output, exchanging research expertise, and raising the faculty’s international presence.

According to the indicators of the strategic plan, 164 Arab and international universities, 122 local experts, and 20 international experts participated in the faculty’s initiatives and major events. The events also achieved digital reach exceeding 960 million, reflecting the faculty’s position as a national platform that brings together academia and industry and contributes to building an integrated media and creative ecosystem.
