Research Programs

Indexed Publication Program IPP (2025) This program aims to encourage faculty members to publish in high-impact journals indexed in Web of Science (Q1 & Q2), contributing to the university’s strategic goals in research excellence and global ranking advancement.
General Indexed Publication Program GPIP (2024) Publishing indexed research is essential for increasing high-quality research output and enhancing the university’s research excellence.
General Program This program supports applied and academic research aligned with national research priorities that serve Saudi Vision 2030.
Researcher Program A program supporting early-career postdoctoral researchers and assistant professors to enhance their research skills.
Knowledge Excellence Program A program focused on data analysis, knowledge development, and collaboration with leading international universities.

External Research Programs – Institutional Funding Program

The Ministry of Education, represented by the Agency for Research and Innovation, supports research development in Saudi Arabia through institutional funding programs in collaboration with universities and partners in the research ecosystem. King Abdulaziz University, represented by the Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, has launched the Institutional Funding Program to support research activities in alignment with the Ministry of Education. The program aims to enhance scientific publication quality, support basic and applied research, develop research infrastructure and laboratories, and contribute to achieving Saudi Vision 2030. It also strengthens research capabilities and supports patents and prototype development.
