KAU Faculty of Economics and Administration Hosts Capital Market Authority Chairman at Roundtable Discussion

King Abdulaziz University, represented by the Faculty of Economics and Administration,
hosted Chairman of the Capital Market Authority, H.E. Mohammed Elkuwaiz, as part of the
faculty’s Roundtable Discussion series. The series brings together Saudi leaders and experts
and provides students with opportunities for direct discussion with national decision-
makers. The event was held on Thursday, May 14, 2026.

Students from the Faculty of Economics and Administration attended a presentation
highlighting the guest’s professional journey and key leadership roles in financial institutions
and authorities.

Moderated by Dr. Fares Al-Thunaiyan, Chair of the Department of Finance at the Faculty of
Economics and Administration, the discussion focused on several key themes, including
promoting financial awareness and reviewing strategies for human capital development.
H.E. Elkuwaiz also discussed leadership and transformation in the financial sector, financial
technology and investor behavior, as well as the role of youth in shaping the future.

During the session, the Chairman of the Capital Market Authority shared advice on achieving
success, offered strategic insights on local and international markets, and emphasized the
importance of developing skills to keep pace with the global economy.

The event drew strong attendance from university students and concluded with rich
discussions and an exchange of views with the guest.
