Dr Salma has graduated from College of Dentistry, King Saud University in 1985. she got specialty diploma in artificial replacements and dental plantation from College of dentistry, Alabama University – the U.S.A. in 1989. In 2000, she got the American fellowship in artificial replacements and dental plantation. Then, she was appointed as a lecturer in College of Dentistry, King Abdul-Aziz University in 1990. Now, she is a consultant and associate professor in oro-facial maxillary rehabilitation department.
Dr Salma has occupied a lot of positions in College of Dentistry, King Abdul-Aziz University such as: a director of College of Dentistry laboratories, the head of fixed artificial replacement branch. From 2002, she occupies the position of college vie-dean.
Dr Salma is concerned with the development of academic programs. Therefore, she is a member of the committee of academic affairs sector for self-evaluation of academic programs. She is also a member of curriculum committee since 1998 and a member in the committee of studying abroad. She has been chosen as a member in a lot of committees in College of Dentistry in Saudi Arabia. She is a member in the graduation committee, the committee of a project for establishing dental plantation regular unit, a member in the executive committee for the project of (a university free from smoking). She is also a member in the coordinative committee of vice-deans of health colleges and the coordinative committee of deans of health colleges. She is a member in the international society of dental researches and a member in Saudi society of dentistry.
Dr Salma has universally given lectures world and international conferences since 1987 such as: conferences of the American society of dentists, world society of dental researches, conferences in the Gulf area, Jordan as well as conferences of Saudi society in Jeddah and Riyadh.
