► Elementary Circuit Analysis: Resistance and Ohm’s law. Kirchhoff’s current law. Kirchhoff’s voltage law. Voltage divider’s rule. Current divider’s rule.

► Electrical Measuring Devices: The Ohmmeter. The Ammeter. The Voltmeter.

► Dc Analysis Of Simple Resistive Circuits: Mesh current method, node voltage method, the principle of superposition, dissipation and power loss in resistive circuits.

► Energy-Storage Circuit Elements: Capacitors and inductors. Sinusoidal steady-state concepts. Average and RMS values Phasors and impedances. Complex variables and their applications in the phasor solution of circuits with sinusoidal excitation.

► Semiconductors And Diodes: The semiconductor diode and its circuit model. Rectifier circuit. The full wave rectifier. The bridge rectifier. Zener diodes. Signal processing applications: the diode clipper, the diode clamp, photodiodes.

► Transistors: Transistor as an amplifier and as a switch. Operation of the bipolar junction transistors.
