Research interests

The research interests of Mr. Mazen Assiri focus on the applications of Meteorological satellites over the Arabian Peninsula. Accordingly, he is now working on the use of Meteosat second generation (MSG) observations to estimate rainfall amount over the Arabia.  Different advanced methods and techniques are used, such as geostatistics, tropical and subtropical climate and weather as well as cloud physics.
