    1. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the scientific basis of health and disease; and the relevance of basic science to the clinical setting.
    2. Recognize the ethical and professional background of medical practice.
    3. Demonstrate understanding and appreciation of the basics of patient advocacy and doctor safety within the medico-legal frame of the healthcare system.
    4. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the various roles of the doctor, family, community and culture in and the social accountability to health promotion, maintenance and disease prevention.

    1. Integrate knowledge in identifying and solving healthcare problems in primary, secondary and tertiary settings.
    2. Critically analyze and relate results of patient history, clinical signs and symptoms and investigations.
    3. Prioritize causes underlying the problem to narrow a differential diagnosis.

    5. Do quantitative or qualitative methods that underlie research.
    6. Demonstrate information literacy skills and the ability to access, record, organize and communicate information appropriately and professionally verbally and in writing.

    9. Perform clinical procedures, especially those required in life-saving situations and set by the NCAAA.
