Abstract
:
Coupling of the enaminone compound 3 with aryl diazonium salts affords the arylhydrazonochromones 6. The latter showed a change in its colour upon changing the pH of the solution. The sensitivity of these molecules was clear in the pH range of 6-11. All four dyes start to show change in thiere visible spectra when the pH starts to reach the basic range.
