Abstract : The current study aimed to design and build a proposed electronic training program for the development of professional teaching staff members, colleges of education for girls in Saudi Arabia in the light of contemporary global trends in the university education. The researcher has adopted in this study model of AL-Hadi, ( 2005) to design the proposed E-training program, which consist of the following five main phases: The Investigation Phase: which included, study of the reality of the training programs presented in the faculties of education, The Training Needs Phase: The aim is to identify training needs of faculty members, The Design and Construction Phase: which identified training goals to develop the skills of professional faculty members in three key areas including seven training courses 1- the development of technology use skills in teaching which included the training on: Educational Devices, Computer Soft ware's and E-Learning 2- the development of thinking skills which included the training on: Creative Thinking and Criticism Thinking 3- the development of evaluation skills which included the training on: Construct of Examinations and PORTFOLIO. The Development Phase: the researcher during this phase has created a general framework for all training courses, and a review of educational materials already available and the organization and development of substantive content, and the selection of training methods and development, where the researcher has proposed the construction of this training program within a learning management system, (MOODLE software) on Website www.raniasaleem.net in accordance with international standards for the planning and evaluation of electronic programs for staff development to become as a electronic self-training program. The Evaluation Phase: in this phase the researcher has reviewed the goals of training program, as well as a statistical study to evaluate the training program has been conducted by (19) members of the faculty members of colleges of education for girls. Also in this phase included a review of all the elements of the training program and the amendments proposed by staff members has been created. The statistical results showed that the training needs of all staff members of the faculties of education for girls in the area of teaching and evaluation was urgent. The statistical results also found that all the evaluation variables have assessed as excellent except for one variable which assessed as very good and that the proposed training program suitable for application on the staff member's, faculties of education for girls in Saudi Arabia. In the light of the researcher findings and the results of the current study, the researcher recommends the need for continuous investigation of the training needs of the staff members and the design of training programs by experts and specialists as a team work.
