Abstract : This study deals with the histological structure of the midgut of the queen and worker in the Yemeni honey race Apis mellifera jemenatica Ruttner, 1976. where the results revealed the accuracy and the miracle of the histological structure of this insect; indeed, several differences were found out in larvae of queen and worker as well as in the different ages of each of its stages. The midgut passes through metamorphosis in different degree of development. In larval stage we studying 3rd and 5th instar, in case of queen and worker .Where queen larvae fed with extensive royal jelly in first 3 days only, while in the 5th instar fed with mixed of honey and breed bee. The results showed that the midgut tissues in the larval stage was simple in structure at the beginning of its grow, extended tube and occupy a large space of body, the midgut wall is a simple epithelium and cover with peritrophic membrane surrounded by undifferentiating muscles, and separate from hindgut by pyloric valve. There was differentiation between instar; and within the same stage. In this study we found that the midgut tissues of larvae in queen were more advanced than worker.
