Abstract
:
The ideas that business was acting in socially responsible fashion if it strived to maximize profits and serve the best interest of the stockholders have become old and unacceptable. Since the concept of social responsibility has been broadened today far beyond this boundary to maintain equitable balance between making profits and the interest of the general public. The views and responses of businessmen toward these issues have been resulted in disagreement. This study synthesize the concept of social responsibility and measures the responses of the Saudi Business in the Industrial sector toward these issues. It has been found throughout this study that social goals are very limited in the Saudi Industrial sector compare to that of economic goals.
