Document Language : English
Abstract : The mesiodistal tooth width of a Saudi population sample was compared with a British study. The sample size consisted of 30 pairs of dental casts for both populations. Test was used for the analysis of the data. The results showed that the British teeth were larger than those of the Saudis except for the maxillary first molars. However, this exception does not reach significant lavel. Of the 28 mean measurements recorded for the British teeth, 22 were larger than the corresponding measurements of the Saudi teeth. In most of the cases the differences were statistically significant except In cases of maxillary central incisor, mandibular right central incisor, maxillary and mandibular lateral Incisors
