Estimating Guide seasonal prices in agriculture in general and vegetable crops, in particular, is of great importance for both organizations, departments and individuals interested in agriculture and that the price information can be divided according to the points used to them, and farmers benefiting from the information and price signals to use in decision-making for the planning production and selection of crop structure appropriate for each season and area to be used, as well as planning, time, place and method of marketing of agricultural products.
It is the employers and the beneficiaries of price information, the directorates of agriculture and agricultural companies for the purpose of use in planning and determining the quality and location and size of projects required, and decisions related to resettle in those projects and decisions relating to selection of marketing outlets for the sale of products and scheduling associated with the repayment of marketing, while at the community level, the usefulness of price information is the work of the proper planning of agricultural programs at the local level or national benefit in the supply of farm price information necessary for taking decisions on the basis of sound and reduce the uncertainty and risk faced by the farmers themselves and ensure adequate income for them.
It is noted that this vegetable crops in general, characterized by periods of price fluctuations during the months of the year, which reflected both seasonal guide to wholesale prices and seasonal guide to retail prices (consumer), where the first period is characterized by the presence of a rise in wholesale and retail prices. Reflects the seasonal guide to wholesale prices in supply from domestic production, while reflecting seasonal guide to retail prices the volume of supply for consumption of vegetables, whether produced locally or imported from abroad.
And concentrated months of high value directory seasonal prices of wholesale or retail in the month of certain year, mostly in the months December, January and February, March and April, while the second is where there is a decline in the prices of wholesale or retail, is vested in the summer months, which occur as a result of the conditions of good and appropriate for agricultural production in terms of climate and weather conditions, which increases the volume of supply from domestic production and thus lower prices.
